This brochure will answer the question of “Where do I start my journey into a career in the resources industry?” This will outline the basic pathways and tips on obtaining a career in the industry. Relevant occupations at the operator-entry, trades and technical, and professional levels are listed. Along with these occupations each will outline the relevant skilled qualification and the average pay scale.The brochure also includes a list of all the relevant qualifications for the resources industry along with training organisations that offer these courses in South Australia, and contact details for these training organisations.

Rocksolid Careers in Mining!
There are several pathways avaliable for you to begin a career in the resources industry. Completion of Year 12 is not essential for all employment pathways, but is desirable for most and necessary for some. It is also desirable to undertake relevant training for further study to increase opportunities for employment, in addition to Year 11 and/or 12 studies.
