Industry Development

SACOME is primarily an advocacy organisation and makes formal and informal representations to Federal and State Government on matters of interest to our members, either from a whole of industry or company perspective. Some of the current major issues of concern to our local mineral and energy resources sectors include infrastructure needs, land access issues and reforms to taxation and the State Mining Act.

SACOME monitors and where necessary seeks to influence government policy and regulation to ensure that it supports the resources industry, proactively engaging with both government and opposition parties. We regularly convene meetings, forums, seminars and workshops dedicated to advancing and promoting the resources industry in South Australia and the interests of our members.
