Community Engagement

Industry Code of Practice for Community Engagement

The South Australian resources industry has taken a lead in recognising and responding to a growing expectation from community, regulators and industry leaders for more open engagement with the public.

The sector has developed a Code of Practice for Community and Stakeholder Engagement, launched in Adelaide today. View the code and the guidelines here.

The following presentations are from the SACOME Community Engagement workshop held on 15 August 2008.  SACOME, PIRSA and key organisations spent a day learning about the principles and best practice in community engagement and agreed that future workshops will be held to draft an agreed position on how community engagement should be framed and implemented in South Australia.
