Following the release of the South Australian Chamber of Mines and Energy (SACOME) Priorities – State Election 2018 document, SACOME has lobbied its 12-point campaign across all major political parties.
The attached scorecard provides a snapshot of SA Labor, SA Liberal and SA Best’s commitments to the resources sector if elected.
Rebecca Knol CEO SACOME said “It is important that our members are aware of what each political party commits to, should they be elected on March 17.
“All major parties have been willing to discuss election priorities with SACOME and its members, and have responded to the scorecard.
“The value of the resources sector to South Australia cannot be overstated with one third of the state’s exports coming from our industry, worth a staggering $3.7 billion.
“I encourage everyone to reflect on the enormity of the $213 million a year fed back to the state from resource sector royalties on election day.
“We look forward to working with the newly elected government to further grow the resources sector in South Australia.”
