SACOME's Petroleum Committee is focussed on the following issues:

• Review of the Petroleum and Geothermal Energy Act
• Land access (includes moratoria/activism)
• Discussion on GISERA initiative
• Sealing of the Strzelecki Track
• Levy on co-produced water
• Water Allocation Plan (Far North Prescribed Wells Area)
• Offshore assessment and approvals – Consultation and Transparency requirements in offshore petroleum activity
