Sanjeev Gupta is an international businessman and entrepreneur, heading the GFG Alliance – a global enterprise with activities spanning steel and aluminium production, mining, engineering, power generation, infrastructure, banking, property and commodities trading, as well as education and skills. As Executive Chairman, he leads a fast-growing $13.1 billion worldwide industrial group, headquartered in London, with additional global hubs in Dubai, Singapore, Hong Kong and Sydney, and a presence in over 30 countries. Jacqui McGill | Asset President - Olympic Dam, BHP Jacqui McGill is Asset President of BHP’s Olympic Dam. A degree qualified metallurgist with over 25 years of resource industry experience, Jacqui has worked in a range of senior roles in BHP including Iron Ore and Coal. Before BHP she worked extensively through Australia in uranium and gold sectors. A passionate advocate for the industry she ensures through her leadership community clearly see the value the resource sector creates. She has also been recognised for her contributions, winning the 2015 Gender Diversity Champion Resources award in Queensland, as well as the Women in Resources National Award. Most recently, Jacqui was awarded a 2017 Honorary Doctorate from the University of Adelaide recognising her as a ‘champion of diversity and gender equality’. Matt Kay | Chief Executive Officer, Beach Energy Matt Kay joined Beach in May 2016 as Chief Executive Officer. He most recently served as Executive General Manager, Strategy and Commercial at Oil Search, a position he held for two years. In that role he was a member of the executive team and led the strategy, commercial, supply chain, economics, marketing, M&A and legal functions. Prior to Oil Search, Mr Kay spent 12 years with Woodside Energy in various leadership roles, including Vice President of Corporate Development, General Manager of Production Planning leading over 80 operations professionals, and General Manager of Commercial for Middle East and Africa. In these roles Mr Kay developed extensive leadership skills across LNG, pipeline gas and oil joint ventures, and developments in Australia and internationally. Tom O'Leary | Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, Iluka Resources Tom O'Leary was appointed Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Iluka Resources Limited in September 2016. He was previously Managing Director of Wesfarmers Chemicals, Energy and Fertilisers division, having joined Wesfarmers in 2000 in a Business Development role. Prior to joining Wesfarmers, Tom worked in London for 10 years in finance law, investment banking and private equity. He holds a law degree from The University of Western Australia and has completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School. Tom is a director of the Clontarf Foundation. Yong Gang Shan | Managing Director, CU River Mining Australia Mr Shan has extensive experience in the global mining industry including over 25 years in the iron ore section, the majority of his experience being within mainland China. Mr Shan is currently the Managing Director at CU River Mining Australia. In addition, he is the Chairman of two Chinese based mining companies. Mr Shan also has experience in a variety of commodities having working in underground and open-pit mining operations in Philippine, Malaysia, China and Australia. Ali Clarke | Master of Ceremonies Born in Brisbane, Ali Clarke has called Adelaide home for nearly twenty years and joined ABC Adelaide in 2016. She's an ambassador for Minda, the Ovarian Cancer Challenge and is dedicated to helping people with disabilities. When not running around with her three children, she volunteers for Netball SA, loves watching sport and finds any excuse to explore South Australia's beaches and country towns. She's a terrible cook but a good eater and is a devotee of Big Hair Bands from the 80s and 90s. *To be eligible to nominate for the awards:
