Accessing Online Content


All lesson content for students is accessed via the Grok Academy Platform (KIK Innovation). Grok Academy is a not‑for‑profit digital technologies education platform that provides high‑quality, curriculum‑aligned learning experiences for students. The platform offers interactive courses, competitions, and unplugged activities designed to develop students’ computational thinking, coding, and problem‑solving skills. Automated feedback, real‑time progress tracking, and comprehensive teacher resources make it easy to support diverse learners and integrate Digital Technologies into the classroom with confidence.

The platform serves as the central online environment for delivering the SACOME STEM Digital Technologies Challenges. It provides students with secure access using their school email credentials and offers a structured, interactive space for learning key concepts in automation and data science.

In addition to student content, the platform includes teacher notes and guidance to support effective delivery. To unlock the full capabilities of the Grok Platform and access all SACOME STEM Challenges, teachers must complete the verification process.

A Verified Teacher gains access to:
  • the teacher notes on the slides.
  • organising students into grades or groups via the Grok Academy Teacher Dashboard

For the best experience, a laptop or desktop computer is recommended when accessing the Automation and Data Science Challenges. However, Automation 1, 2, 3 and Data Science 1 have been designed to also support Apple iPads. Please note that Automation 3 requires the installation of an additional application when used on an iPad. For further details, refer to section 7. Using Apple Devices.
