Collective approach to energy costs gains momentum
The South Australian Chamber of Mines & Energy (SACOME) has led the way for an increasing line of innovators taking a ‘roll-up sleeve’ collective approach to energy costs. Following in SACOME’s footsteps, the newly formed Victorian Eastern Energy Buyers Group (EEBG) was today granted a draft determination to run joint tender processes for electricity and gas.
SACOME CEO Rebecca Knol said: “Cross-sectoral collaboration is critical to successful outcomes, so it is encouraging to see yet another group use SACOME’s flagship approach to tackle rising energy prices, which is a national issue.”
