SACOME launches Resourceful South Australia
Following the release of our ‘2024Vision’ and responding to benchmark research findings, SACOME, in its 40th Anniversary year, has partnered with The Advertiser to deliver a print and digital platform promoting the resources sector in South Australia.
In South Australia, the resources sector underpins the State’s economy and has contributed to the rise in living standards, the development of infrastructure and prosperity in our state. However, perceptions of the sector have not kept pace with our performance and contribution, so it is time to tell our story more widely. The magazine is designed to inform South Australians about our sector and highlight the importance of the resources sector to our State. Our hope is that as the general public read through the stories, they will be able to learn and understand why the jobs of tomorrow are actually the jobs of today; how our sector intersects with every part of their lives, and how future generations will continue to benefit and prosper from the groundwork in technology and innovation our sector is doing now. The first issue of Resourceful South Australia was launched on Saturday 4th July 2020 as a lift out supplement to The Advertiser. This 32-page gloss magazine showcased the importance of the resources sector to the State and the relevance of our sector to the growth of a technological future. In addition to highlighting the commodities produced in South Australia and company initiatives the magazine profiles a selection of our brightest minds. The second issue was released as a digital magazine on Tuesday 8th September. SACOME wishes to thank Gold sponsors BHP and Santos, Silver sponsors OZ Minerals and SIMEC Mining, along with The University of Adelaide, Flinders Port Holdings, Environmental Projects, Exact Contracting, Schaeffler Australia and EcoLogical Australia who supported the campaign through advertising. Additionally, a huge thank you to all those who contributed to stories. Click here to read the digital editions of Resourceful South Australia. |
