The SAEMC, to be held on Friday 2 December at the Adelaide Convention Centre, will be defined by a host of new exploration projects, updates on exciting developments and established successes on a growth trajectory - including BHP Billiton Olympic Dam, OZ Minerals and Havilah Resources.
Program and presenter details are available now on the conference website with confirmed presentations also including Investigator Resources, PepinNini, Minotaur, Iron Road, Mithril, Adelaide Resources, Prospect Hill Tin, Marmota, Magnetite Mines, Renascor Resources, Lincoln Minerals, WPG and Terramin.
Chair and founder of the conference, Dr Kevin Wills, is an industry veteran and currently Acting Managing Director of South Australia’s Marmota Resources. He said this year’s conference topics “reflect a growing optimism in the minerals sector with new players emerging, successful capital raisings and growth plans of producers set to provide valuable information and a refreshing atmosphere to the celebration.”
“This year’s mix of presentations will meet our longstanding objective particularly well. That is, to give attendees an up to date overview of the many exciting exploration, feasibility and operational projects that are active in South Australia.” Dr Wills said.
“In particular a number of new and established gold and copper projects will be highlighted.”
“This low cost, high value conference continues to deliver on information and engagement, continually attracting the people who are central to the industry in South Australia and those passionate about its growth.” said Dr Wills.
Acting Chief Executive of the South Australian Chamber of Mines and Energy (SACOME), Dr Nigel Long said “The SAEMC never fails to deliver exactly what our minerals industry’s stakeholders want – the opportunity to hear firsthand what’s happening and what’s planned, and celebrate the year amongst likeminded people.”
The SAEMC is organised by a voluntary committee representing local branches of professional associations, including AIG, ASEG, AusIMM, GSA & SACOME together with the Department of State Development and University of Adelaide.
